In 2023, one of the most important mental health projects for Jacq to support with design and illustration was with Wellsprings for Women and their mental health resources for women that have relocated from Afghanistan.

Women participated in Mental Health First Aid training to understand how they could support other women struggling with their mental health that have arrived in Australia. As part of the project, a series of resources were created with information about looking after your mental health, and where to seek support.

A series of images that reflected some of the emotions that were experienced by women that have recently arrived in Australia were described for Jacq to create as part of the set of resources. They included images about loneliness, feeling distressed in a new location and images of hope.

All of the resources created were translated into 6 different languages including Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, Dari and Punjabi.
